today i realized why we do monogamy
we do monogamy
and the Disney movies
and the rom coms
and the literature
because
sometimes you meet a person
and their essence drives you
insane
you think about them
all the time
and you interact with them
in a certain way
everyone’s a damn snowflake
we all bring in our own
perspectives
and biases
and experiences
and traumas
and demons
to every relationship
and its in this
uniqueness
that one falls in love
with another.
We cling on to the dynamic,
the ecstasy of the encounters.
You think of each other often,
and of each other you both grow fonder.
You piss yourselves.
and you cry.
and you punch walls
and throw vases.
and say things you both swear you didnt mean.
you feel emotions
and you face hardships together,
and overcome them,
and you bond.
You experience scenes between yourselves,
ones you can never recreate with another person.
This uniqueness is what
cages us all.
